to use the bathroom.
Lovers are for making you breakfast
and other food when you are either
too lazy, too sick, or just plain
don’t feel like it.
Lovers are for having a good
excuse available at all times:
Family reunion? Sorry,
my significant other is in the hospital
with appendicitis.
Lovers are for ego boosts
that no one else will give you,
even if you beg on your hands
and knees and are the nicest person in the world.
Lovers are for having at least
one person on your side,
even if they disagree.
